Now comes the fun part. There are a lot of ways that you can get paid for a website. A lot of different programs are at your disposal. Let's look at them and go over a few:
Google Adsense
First there is a free program from Google called adsense. You can check it out google adsense here. It is a free program. When you put your website on the internet, google will crawl your site and put relevant ads on each page that you direct it to. When users
click on the ads, you get paid. This is one of my favorite ways to make revenue from my websites and Google has always paid on time. Just DO NOT click your own ads. That is considered click fraud and may cause your account to be deleted. Yep, all of those ads by google that you see on my sites are money makers from Google itself. It amazes me how many advertisers they have and how well they do with the ads relevancy as compared to the page text and topic. Make money with your websites is easy if your content is good and informative and the site is fairly well set up!
The nice thing about this program for generating money with your website is that the ads usually are informative or helpful to the reader. Some of them don't see anything but good information, with more ads for the reader to look at.
Where does Google adsense get the money from?
All of the Google ads that you see on pages pay Google a fee to be there. More and more companies have learned that internet advertising is a good idea and a cost effective way to advertise. Google charges the advertisers and shares the income with you for you allowing them to put the ads on your site!
How else can I make money with my website?
There are companies out there that serve as go between's if you will, between advertisers and you as a website publisher. They offer thousands of opportunities for you to put ads from their clients on your website and you can generate money if they buy from the company after clicking an ad in your site. You get a commission! My favorite in Linkshare and there is a link to their site here. Again, it is FREE! I would recommend just sticking with Google at first until your site is listed and starts to get visitors. Some of the advertisers through Linkshare and the other companies that do the same thing, may de-list you for inactivity. You should check them out now though. Just save this page and come on back to sign up when you are ready!
You can also try these. They offer the same setup as Linkshare but have different advertisers:
Connect Commerce- This is Googles advertisers.
Once you are signed up with an advertiser they give you ads to post on your site. You can choose between text ads and picture ads. When someone clicks on the ad and either buys omething or signs up for something (depends on the advertiser) you get paid! These are all free to join they cost you nothing!
Make money with Clickbank
You can check out Clickbank for more marketing ideas. They have information sites and products that you can sell for on your website. Clickbank offers thousands of vendors and they generally have every marketing idea going.
This is just one example of the offerings at Clickbank. I am not asking you to buy anything, I am just showing you how you make money with them. If someone were to click on the link and go to the page, I would make money if they purchased the information or the product. You should make the Clickbank offering to match your website content. Again, Clickbank is free to join and you can make decent money with it. If you get a site up that eventually gets a lot of hits, you can make a VERY substantial amount with it.

Finally, let's look at what you can make.
We will use the example that you have 6 websites making an average of $50.00 per month. If your site has good content, titles, and descriptions, it should do much better but we are looking to keep it very conservative here.
Your startup expenses if you need everything:
Web Host (About) $96.00 per year
Web Page Maker $50.00 one time
Sitemap creator $50.00 one time
Domains for 6 sites (about) $90.00
For a total in one year of about $286.00
If you are making $300.00 per month on your six sites, that mean that you making $3600.00 per year. The first year you would have a profit of over $3300.00. The next year, all you would need to pay for is web hosting and the domain cost for the six sites for a total of about $186.00. The idea is to make as many good quality, informative sites that you can. Imagine if you had 30 sites. You could take your income up to $1500.00 per month while the expenses would go to:
Web Host $96.00 per year
Domains for 30 sites about $450.00
A total expense of about $550.00 while the annual income would be $18000.00. A profit of $17450.00. Not bad for sitting around in your spare time making websites.
Can I make more money with my websites?
You absolutely can! If you check out Google Adsense, look at their publisher success stories. It is folks like you and I and some of them make over $30,000.00! Not per year...PER MONTH!! Hit it right, do a good site and the sky could be the limit! Over time, you will even learn how to spruce up your site and make it look more and more professional but first thing I would do (and am currently doing) is build them sites!
While I can't guarantee how much you will make. I will tell you this...I am not charging you for any of this information. I have spent years buying ebooks and other "get rich quick" ideas that I thought looked promising, just to watch my money get flushed. I have had friends that I helped start doing websites and they told me that I should have put an ebook online and made a bunch of money. I don't know if it would be true or not, but the bottom line is, I don't care. If I can help you out and get you some extra cash and maybe change your life for the better, I am happy.
